What the market says...

The event was an extremely effective use of my time networking and looking at vendor propositions; however the true value however was the speakers and quality of the information from executive CISO/CIOs on the challenges they face and the dynamic this opens.

It raised open questions for me to go reflect upon further and ask fresh questions

Director of Security, Liaison Technologies

The e-Crime Congress provides an excellent opportunity to meet with your peers, not just from your own Industry sector, but beyond.  As e-Crime continues to evolve, many of the new targets of eCrime can learn from the 'war stories' of others.  The presentations, both local and global, provide an insight into current and emerging threats, and the networking facilities allows you to expand your understanding of issues key to your industry.

Security Consultant, Santander

e-Crime 2013 once again achieved its objective of providing a forum for discussion and many educating speakers, the innovation from the vendors was there for all to see. We are living in challenging and evolving times when it comes to e-Crime; the organisers are definitely providing the right content to the right audience.

Head of WW Sales, Fox-IT

Thanks for the invite to the eCrime conference, it was a great opportunity for me to find out about issues in the wider eCrime environment. I am now more aware of developing technologies and the vulnerabilities associated with them. A well organised and enjoyable event.

Penetration Tester, AXA UK

Many thanks! I found the Congress to be an excellent use of time and managed to learn a great deal from the many excellent speakers, especially in the breakout sessions which were particularly useful.

Cybercrime Intelligence Officer, City of London Police

As always I found the conference very educational and interesting. The topics which were discussed are always very current and you learn so much from the speakers. I find that their personal stories provides you with insight and knowledge. You leave the congress fresh with ideas to take back to your company.

Compliance Manager, Ukash

Just wanted to let you know that as always, it was a fantastic event and good lineup of speakers.

Senior Business Systems Auditor, Rexam

A well organised conference with presentations that delved deep into the real security issues facing businesses today. 10/10

Information Security Officer, Unum Limited

This year the e-Crimes Congress was filled with excellent presentations - short, sharp and to the point. The organisation of both the sessions and conference as a whole was very good. At no point did I feel I was wasting time and came away feeling the whole two days was well worthwhile.

Security Consultant, Kier Ltd

A truly outstanding event highlighting the key threats that global businesses face while creating a platform for networking and discussion with true ecrime professionals.

eCrime & Information Security, Co-Ordination & Intelligence Officer, Global Bank

I have been to 7 of your 9 events thus far (over that time in my capacity of Fraud Expert at a Financial Institution, a Payment Processor and now a Vendor), and I am continuously impressed by the quality of the speakers, the relevance of the education seminars and the appropriateness of the sponsors and exhibitors.  The number of and enthusiasm (and staying power!) of the delegates is always as impressive too - a great (and in my opinion one of the best) events to be part in whatever eFraud capacity you find yourself in.  Roll on next year's 10th anniversary!

Manager, Financial Crime Products, NICE Actimize

I have now been to 2 e-crime events. Both have been fact-packed, with informative and often entertaining speakers. I consider that my knowledge and understanding have received a real boost as a result.

Information Security Consultant, Atkins Global

This is one a handful of security events that I try to attend each year. Each time I have obtained insights and contacts which have led to action in co-operation with those I have met there for the first time.

Secretary General, EURIM

This was my first such event and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've been looking for a vendor agnostic, un-pressured, non-selling security event such as this for a long time. I'm annoyed that I've never attended any previous congresses, but rest assured it won't be my last. Stand out points include the organisation and scope of plenary sessions, presentations and indeed the diverse businesses in attendance as well as the support from government bodies. I look forward to next year's event and attending any specific topical ones that meet my needs between now and then.

Operations Security Manager, William Hill

I have been to a number of these events in the past and what I like most is the occasional "hidden gem" of a presentation that you get, sometimes from unexpected quarters, that reveals something new and useful about the ecrime threat or available countermeasures and strategies. Generally these are drawn from frontline and recent experience, such as the Norcert presentation yesterday. The business sponsors are also useful and provide an opportunity to at least confirm what you think you know about the products on the market for ecrime, counter fraud and compliance management.

Group Fraud Risk Manager, CMC Markets

I had a great time. The e-crime Congress was a wonderful opportunity to gain an insight into the current issues affecting the business world today. It was invaluable to be able to discuss the impact of e-crime with such a broad range of delegates, from many backgrounds and with such varied expertise. I would definitely attend again.

Technology Senior Auditor, Standard Life plc

An exceptionally well organised event, with a wide-range of speakers covering a variety of thought provoking topics! It was amazing to see and meet a wide spectrum of attendees from IT , Information Risk, Legal and Technical backgrounds who all have common ground of moving this subject forward in their organisations.

Information Control Manager, Strategy and Operational Performance, Lloyds Banking Group

My overall experience from e-Crime Congress was positive. It was my first time attending that and I think it was a really interesting experience. I had the chance to acquire some knowledge of all the trends in malware and the technology that deals with that and moreover, I had the chance to enrich my professional network. It was a good organised event and very friendly to its attendees. I am looking forward to the next e-Crime event.

Senior Security Analyst, Yell

The e-Crime Congress brought expert presentations together with a truly impressive array of technology providers. I learned a lot, and was able to reconnect with various important contacts from the field. And the practical arrangements were excellent.

Barrister, Content Advice

I would like to say thanks to you and all at AKJ Associates for a very well organised and worthwhile conference.

Extremely informative and practical presentations provided and with a good balance of topics across the e-crime spectrum. Well run event with ample networking opportunities. I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.

Group Information Risk Manager, Barclays

Although I am a seasoned security veteran it is essential that I remain current to the alerts and the threats to my company.  As a Security Officer it is sometimes difficult to set aside appropriate time to keep abreast of new dangers and I look to seminars/conferences like the e-crime Congress to keep me up to speed.  The information imparted by the presenters and the case studies discussed provided ample information to enable to me to apprise my Executive of the real and perceived dangers to our business.

Information Security Officer, DHL Express UK

I very much enjoyed the e-Crime Congress and was particularly impressed with the quality of the speakers and presentations. There was some genuinely useful information provided to delegates and I look forward to next year's congress. The networking opportunities were excellent and I was able to converse with a number of industry peers.

I.T. Security Team Leader, Allen & Overy

I thought that the conference was very good, very well attended and highlighted key issues that the community needs to deal with. The presentations were informative, well presented and in many cases, entertaining!  The congress provided good networking opportunities.

Director Security, Policy & Continuity, IT Advisory, KPMG

Thank you for an exciting and very well-organized event. It was a great opportunity for us to establish connection with many new potential clients as well as to educate ourselves on issues related to e-Crime.

Chief Operating Officer, Outpost24 AB

I can only say that this is the best and most well-planned conference I have ever attended. All the sessions and topics were tightly connected (no overlap in content) and together they really pushed the "message" for the Congress. I have never experienced such a good topic planning and control before. Keep up the good work.

Head of TS-CERT, TeliaSonera AB

Thank you very much for organising such a well structured event which provided a steady stream of thought provoking and often entertaining snippets of security concerns around the globe.  It is a unique event, attended by such a diverse, yet focused group of individuals and organisations, with the common goal of how to stay ahead of the well organised chameleon like criminal activity, in the virtual and logical world.

Information Security Officer, The Derbyshire Building Society

This was the first time I attended the e-Crime Congress and I have to say I found the 2 days thoroughly interesting and most enjoyable.  The whole event was superbly coordinated and the guest speakers and subject matter experts were fascinating to talk to.  All in all an informative and invaluable experience.

Fraud Detection Manager, Clydesdale Bank

eCrime Congress 2009 was a fantastic event and one that 7Safe is very pleased to have been associated with.  Thanks to Howard and the team at AKJ for putting on such a well run couple of days.

Client Services Manager, 7Safe

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days. It was extremely well coordinated and all talks added value and held my interest. Some of the revelations regarding the changing eCrime and Information Security landscape were quite eye-opening. Clearly a lot of very positive work has been done, more encouragement is needed to harmonise approaches among industry and law enforcement professionals in face of a constantly shifting landscape. The eCrime congress was an opportunity to meet some of the top minds in the field and share their views on how this can be done.

e-Crime Forensics and Investigations Manager, Barclays Investment Banking & Investment Management

This was my first E-Crime Congress. I found it very useful and informative both for networking and content.  As a serving officer in Northants, and soon to be a consultant in the private sector, I found the congress provided a wide range of perspectives and expertise from around the world, stimulating international collaboration which I believe is crucial in order to deal with an ever evolving area of crime.

E-Services Officer, Northamptonshire Police

Of course I had a great time, what a two days! I felt privileged to be there. The e-Crime Congress 2009 probably was one of the best organized and relevant congresses I have ever attended. The variety of seminars also was excellent. During networking breaks attendants get the opportunity to meet the speakers and ask their questions.

Thank you for the great hospitality.

Special Service for National Security, Hungary

I found the congress very informative, both on current threats and what is being/can be done to combat them.

Head of IT Security, Enterprise Solutions and Services, Bank of Ireland

I found the event a useful mix of updates of the latest ecrime trends, good networking opportunities and also some vendors producing cutting edge technology to help the industry and law enforcement.

Fraud Risk Manager, Group Compliance and Operational Risk, CMC Markets

I met with some great people during the Networking and found the presentations informative and some thought provoking.

Managing Director, Iron Ox Ltd

e-Crime congress is probably the best platform for interacting with the people who really know what security issues are affecting businesses. Security taken seriously.

The content of the seminars was not only focused, but at no point did I feel I was being sold to - every presenter had a serious issue to highlight and a word of advice to give.

VP Marketing & Business Development, CRYPTOCard

As usual I found the quality of presentations and education sessions excellent and appropriate to my requirement.

I found it gave me both an added insight to the serious issues that the industry will need to urgently address and reassurance that as a company we are moving in the right direction!

Head of IT Risk, RISC Management Ltd

The e-Crime Congress provides content that is uniquely tailored to inform technologists, business and enforcement professionals in equal measure.  The networking opportunity provided by such a diverse gathering is invaluable to anyone involved or interested in securing the digital environment for today and in the future.

Global Head of Anti-Piracy Enforcement, International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (I.F.P.I.)

I have attended the Congress every year it has run and it continues to be topical, relevant and very interesting.  I am pleased to see continued support from overseas, especially the US.

National Fraud Strategic Authority, Office of the Attourney General

This was the 4th congress I have attended and I find the organisation and the content of the congress so relevant to the work that we are doing for our customers that since my first congress I have always brought 3 colleagues along so that we miss nothing during the two days.

I wait until I have attended the congress each year before I publish our audit plan for the company, this allows me to better set our target for audit and to ensure that we are doing as much as we can to protect ourselves and our customers from the latest attacks as identified by the congress.

During last year I identified an attack pattern which had been discussed at the 2007 congress, this allowed me to make a rapid identification and we took the immediate steps required to close the attack before any damage had been done.

Chief Information Security Officer, Atos Origin UK

Many thanks. The 6th E-Congress event was stacked with high quality speakers in the plenary sessions with information and opinions very relevant to the challenges I face. The education seminars were particularly helpful and one has probably given me the answer to a problem I have been trying to resolve for some time.

Group Security Director, Littlewoods Retail Ltd

E-crime is a global occurrence and therefore needs global action. All the highly competent speakers from all over the world made it very clear that cooperation is the keyword. The e-crime congress is also a perfect place for networking and exchanging experiences. I am really impressed by the whole arrangement, and I hope there will be a new e-crime congress in 2009.

Detective Inspector, IT-Crime Section, National Criminal Police Sweeden

The e-Crime Congress was a good opportunity to see how the world of computer crime has developed over the last year. The congress presented a wide range of topics and speakers, both national and international, from sectors such as government, commerce and academia.

The opportunity to network with other members involved in information security is always enjoyable and informative. As a university, we're always interested in establishing joint ventures with the commercial sector and this year we were able to find some interested commercial partners with whom we can work to the mutual benefit of their customers and our students.

Information Assurance Analyst, University of Derby

The e-Crime Congress uniquely brings together all interested parties in addressing crime in the virtual world. We are very happy to take our place and play out part within this community united against a common enemy.

Director, Financial Services Market, EMEA, RSA, The Security Division of EMC

Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to attend such an interesting and challenging congress. Everything was perfect.

Attorney at Law, Council of the European Union

The e-Crime Congress provided an excellent forum for us to interact with law enforcement agencies, security product vendors and others in the financial services industry to discuss the wider issues that affect us.

Head of e-Risk Management and Fraud, HSBC Group Security

This is the place to meet and listen to some of the key driving forces in the fight against e-crime in the world - from Russia to the US.

eBusiness Director & President, Yell.com

The congress was very valuable to get an idea of the latest threats and how organisations are addressing information security challenges.

Director, ArmstrongAdams

The e-Crime Congress has proved very useful for keeping in touch with what vendors have to offer in this space.

Head of Group Information Security, Bank of Ireland

The presentations were excellent and the speakers managed to explain complicated topics very clearly so that non-experts were able to follow.

Legal Advisor, Federal Ministry of the Interior, Austria

My interest was aroused by 80% of the speakers / subjects - excellent all round. I would definitely recommend others to attend the conference.

Data Protection Officer - OITC, AIRBUS UK
